FNF> Evolution of Bumblebee: Suddenly I’m Thirsty

I didn’t promise these would all be wins for Bumblebee, but they’re coming, I assure you. In the meantime, how well did he do in his new “Goldbug” body? Well, there’s a bit of a slide here. Goldbug had been infected by Scraplets, Transformers that were smaller than Mini-cons, could transform into nuts and bolts and stuff, and would embed themselves into larger Transformers while replicating themselves and eventually destroying the host Transformer. Compare that to the cartoon’s plague of choice, Cosmic Rust, and decide which is a worse fate.

However, in the comics things would get worse. The Decepticons of Cybertron heard about the Scraplet plague reaching Earth, and decided to eliminate the source before it could spread around the planet. That meant “sterilizing” the crater they were found in with acid. Problem is, Blaster and the Decepticon Triple-Changers are down there dying from the little buggers, and Goldbug took their new friend, Charlie Fong, to find a cure. And this is where we come in.

Two of the Throttlebots, a group of Autobots that were a thorn in the Decepticons’ side, are given a chance to live if they deliver the acid. (Why risk one of their own?) Two of the Throttlebots, Rollbar and Wide Load, go after Goldbug and find him at a Blackrock-owned gas station.

"You'll forgive me for TAKING it personally, right?"

Then Rollbar brings the house down.

"And I said 'n-no'."

Luckily, Charlie had found a cure for Scraplets. Apparently they hate taking showers. So grabbing some that Rollbar knocked loose from Goldbug, he tosses them at Wide Load.

I didn't know he was Finnish. I thought he was Cybertronian.

Then Charlie uses a water hose to clean off Goldbug and the day is saved. But wait, what about the pit FILLED with Scraplets and Blaster (plus the Triple-Changers but who cares about them?) Join us for part two as Goldbug uses his head to save the world!
