All-New Batman: The Brave & The Bold #2
DC Comics (February 2011)
WRITER: Sholly Fisch PENCILER: Rick Burchette INKER: Dan Davis COLORS: Heroic Age LETTERER: Travis Lanham ASSISTANT EDITOR: Chynna Clugston Flores EDITOR: Scott Peterson
Billy Batson arrives in Gotham to do some Christmas shopping to find that Gothamites have gone mad. The villain responsible is the Psycho-Pirate and even Batman is under his spell. Captain Marvel snaps him out of it long enough to help him defeat the Psycho-Pirate and get Gotham back under control (for Gotham City, anyway).
What they got right: I can’t point to anything specific, as it’s the overall product that was good.
What they got wrong: Tawky Tawny and the Marvel Family haven’t been introduced on the show yet and with it canceled this would have been the perfect place to do it. Not in this story but in another one. Instead they’re already there. Also, the bat symbol on Batman’s shirt doesn’t quite look right.
Recommendation: Overall very enjoyable even if the word “Christmas” doesn’t really show up. It’s a good read.

Tomorrow’s Comic> Iron Man: I Am Iron Man #2 (about time I got to this)
