Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man V2 #10
Marvel Comics (March 2011)
WRITER: Paul Tobin PENCILER: Matteo Lolli INKER: Terry Pallot COLORIST: Chris Sotomayor “LYNX” PAGES: Colleen Coover COVER: Patrick Scherberger & Edgar Delgado PRODUCTION: Mayela Gutierrez EDITOR: Jordan D. White and Nathan Cosby SENIOR EDITOR: Mark Panicca
Via the Blonde Phantom‘s detective Agency, a new superheroine, Lynx, requests Spider-Man’s help with learning to become a superhero. In fact, she’s a supermodel and this is a publicity stunt for her, until a run-in with the Scorpion shows her what being a hero is all about.
What they got right: As a one-shot, Lynx is an interesting character, and it sends a good message without being preachy. The “Lynx comics” parts were cute, and getting a different artist for those pages was a good idea.
What they got wrong: While I’m glad Tobin isn’t forgetting the “Romeo & Juliet” style subplot with Gwen and Carter, it feels out of place in this story.
Recommendation: To be honest, the comic hasn’t been wowing me, but I still enjoy reading it. I’d say give it a look and decide for yourself.

You just know that the bird is ready to peck Peter's eyes out if he gives the wrong answer.
Up Next: “Best Scene of the Week” in the Weekly Wrap-Up.
