X-Play’s Adam Sessler spoke to gaming legend Will Wright (creator of SimCity and The Sims) about video games and his new television project “Bar Karma”.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Bar Karma sounds like an interesting show concept, even if it turns out to not be my kind of show. I would wonder how it works considering you have sets and costumes to deal with, plus how do you script something like that. One place to look is actually webcomics, as cartoonist Kim Holm does something similar in Diary of a Space Monkey, a comic about a monkey from space (I’m sure you guessed that part) in search of bananas while getting mixed up with cowgirl vikings (not female cows who are vikings), frost giants, and giant brain things that hate pandas. (Let’s see Wright try that. 😀 ) People vote on events like a “Choose Your Own Adventure” story (and sometimes come up with events to be voted on) and the winning vote becomes the next part of the story.

Since my cable company doesn’t seem to bring in new stations unless they’ve been around for at least a decade I don’t get Current TV but it appears to be available on their website although it could be a clip, I haven’t watched it yet. Anyone seen it?
