The Doctor arranges a meeting with the king, who refuses to let the Doctor go to the tower to rescue Callum’s daughter. He does allow Amy to rest at Callum’s home, while another man, who has discovered one of the fairies is in fact a robot, is shot with a laser weapon, with the Doctor framed for the murder. Amy is taken away by the Serpentine (which resembles a rather familiar symbol) and the king comes for the Doctor.
What they got right: They do have the workings of a good secondary mystery.
What they got wrong: The primary mystery was mostly uncovered when we saw what the Serpentine looks like.
Recommendation: Not as good as the main story (at least I can say that about one comic), but still fairly decent, no pun intended. Give it a look.

It’s all a little bit silly, isn’t it? Which is how I feel about any comic book story that takes place in a D&D-ish fantasy land (and usually doesn’t).
Pleasant, but not as enjoyable as Tony Lee’s monthly series.
