Doctor Who: A Fairytale Life #3
IDW Publishing (June 2011)
WRITER: Matthew Sturges ARTIST: Brian Shearer COLORIST: Rachelle Rosenberg LETTERER: Shawn Lee EDITOR: Denton J. Tipton COVER “A” (shown): Mark Buckingham (artist) and Phil Elliot (colorist) COVER “B”: Amy Mebberson
Amy is rescued by Callum’s daughter and she meets others who have been taken to the tower. The Doctor is able to make contact thanks to a robot duck and he and Callum head to the tower (despite the Doctor being framed for murder) but after getting through the traps, they find the real culprit–and he’s ready to kill them, too!
What they got right: Both the Doctor and Amy are true to form. The mystery is getting more interesting and the art is well done.
What they got wrong: If all the animals are robots (which just seems like an excuse to let the Doctor save the day with the Sonic Screwdriver), what do they use for meat?
Recommendation: A bit better over the previous issues, but I’ve been enjoying it overall.

I hope they're not mechanical, too.
