Rocketeer 20th Anniversary fan video

Normally I would save this for a Saturday Night Showcase, although it’s also short enough for a filler video post. However, since I’m doing the Saturday Night Serial thing it would take a long time to get there. A very well done fan video has been making it’s way around the internet for the 20th Anniversary of the late Dave Stevens‘ classic comic.

Created by John Banana it kind of reminds me of the Masters of the Universe reimagining that BW virtual mentor Jerzy Drozd is doing. It’s more comical and cartoony, but it’s still pretty cool in its own right. (Although if that’s supposed to be Betty, she loses a bit of her sexiness in the translation.) It seems to be a trailer, so I wonder if he’s pushing for a full series. 🙂 According to Banana, whose works includes the Raving Rabbids video game franchise, he was inspired by the Disney movie and learned about the comics afterwards.
