"Who do I speak to about a REAL reunion movie?"

ALF #32

Marvel Comics (August 1990)

WRITER: Michael Gallager
PENCILER: Dave Manak
INKER/COLORIST: Marie Severin
LETTERER: Rick Parker
EDITOR: Sid Jacobson

Once again, three stories. “Muscle Bound For Glory” is the cover story, as ALF takes up weightlifting with heavy bells. This leads him to become superstrong, which tends to drive Kate nuts since the ego follows, but eventually ALF is forced to become his old self after he freaks out the rest of the family, too. It was a fun enough read.

“Go Figure” has ALF breaking out his old action figure, Melmacho Man. Imagine giving one of the toys from the movie Small Soldiers with super powers and a chauvinist streak as big as ALF’s appetite. It works out when it stops a thief and its batteries run dead. A better story than I remembered.

It seems each comic must have at least one story I can do with out, and if it isn’t that one then it would be “Imagine That!”, where ALF gets a visit from a childhood friend only he can see and hear. This being a sci-fi comic, it turns out to be real and saves the house from burning. It just wasn’t interesting to read.

Overall, I pretty much say the same thing here I’ve said about the other issues; not bad, but not worth hunting down.

Tomorrow’s (old) Comic> ALF #33, which appears to be the last ALF comic in my collection. That means one has to be misplaced because I know I have one more issue.
