I thought of a good fight to use this week, but since next week is the finale, I’m going to save it for then. Luckily I can keep the mystery going with yet another fight featuring Kyle and Wonder Woman. Oh the wonders never start.
This time they’re faced with bad guys pretending to be good guys while trying to kill the real good guys. Don’t you hate when that happens? I hate when I need to make up a bunch of stuff to have a decent length intro because then I sound a moron.

Repeat Rehash Revenge round 11
The Battlefield: JLA #1 (DC Comics, January 1997) “Them!”
The Promoters: Grant Morrison (writer), Howard Porter (penciler), John Dell (inker), Pat Garrahy (colorist), Heroic Age (separations), Ken Lopez (letterer), and Ruben Diaz (editor)
So here’s what you need to know. Aliens called the Hyperclan have come claiming they want to save the world. (Spoiler: They’re actually a bunch of evil Martians.) As members of the Justice League gather to discuss the Hyperclan’s fighting natural disasters, curing diseases, executing supercriminals and teaching Keanu Reeves how to show an emotion, said Hyperclan decides to attack the League’s satellite. Oddly, Kyle gives us this pose:

If you think this is bad, you should see Batman on the last page.
Then the Hyperclan make their way into the Satellite, with Kyle at the forefront of counterattack.

Aww, isn't he cute the way he bites that villain's arm off?
Kyle heads out to battle the bad guys in space, but he brings a bit of help.

Well next time don't stand in front of the door.
They did their job, though. The satellite is history, so the non-flying Leaguers there at the time make their escape while Kyle makes them pay. The invaders, not the Leaguers.

Unfortunately, they can’t save the Satellite, and the Hyperclan makes their escape, leaving Kyle and Diana to face the big boom!

It turns out OK in the end, as the Justice League would get a cool new Watchtower on the Moon when it was all over, but this was only the beginning of the bad times (and odd poses) to come. Someday we’ll discuss that. Now you have more important things to do. Things like…
