So how will Rocket Man survive falling from the top of a huge building with nothing but a suit that makes him fly? Have you been in suspense all week?
Seriously, it’s getting too easy to figure out these escapes, and we’re only at episode 5.
The writing team of Royal K. Cole, William Lively, and Sol Shor were responsible for this series. While they also worked together on projects like Ghost of Zorro, they have a number of independent credits to their name. Cole did a number of superhero stories for both serial and TV, including Superman, Batman, and Captain America, as well as original superheroes like the Masked Marvel. He was well respected by his contemporaries according to IMBD. Lively’s credits are all over the place, from East Side Kids (name sounds familiar) to Tarzan to Sky King. Shor seems to have horror credits from some of the titles up there, but outside of Zorro’s Fighting Legion I can’t recognize any of his work. Although the mention of Legion tells me who writes some of these cliffhangers. Serious, watch that one some time, the cliffhangers are hilariously ridiculous.
So can you carry someone while wearing the flying suit? Rocket Man better find out fast in time for chapter 6, “Mystery of the Rocket Man”, at this website next week.
