No, I don’t hate cats (hopefully Siskoid will forgive me). I just thought it would be funnier to see something with an expression fly past the window and cats are easier to draw in this style.
While I lost power until it was too late to post on time, and I had to cancel my trip to ComiCONN, I think I got off lucky. My house is still standing, nobody I know died, and we got power back rather quickly. We did have a tree branch from the neighbors fall into the backyard, so we’ll see how that goes, but otherwise we were the lucky ones. New England got hit pretty hard, and I hope you’ll support legit charities and support networks as they attempt to restore people’s lives.
The news this week won’t be categorized because I don’t really have time. There was no Clutter Report this week because I hadn’t prepared for one, but I did use my time Saturday to film a video project for the site, which hopefully you’ll see soon enough.Otherwise, it’s time to go through my e-newsletters again.

- The Fall list of science fiction movies.
- This Week’s Cracked: What if Judge Dread and the Highlander were real? 9 Acts of Vigilantism Straight Out of a Comic Book answers that question with shark-punching old ladies, a guy who stops evil doers with a bicycle (the hard way), and other things that are too awesome for comics…but I wish someone would try.
Best Scene of…well, I guess Last Week’s Reviews
Sonic Universe #31

Granted, there were only two qualifiers this week. Sunday should hopefully have us back on track. Be sure and help your neighbors shaking off Irene’s wrath.
