Cracked Clearning House #1

Since I won’t be doing This Week’s Cracked in the Sunday posting anymore (it just seems out of place) I have a whole bunch of Cracked.com links I won’t be able to use. I may use filler article posts with Cracked in the future, and if you follow me on Twitter (just don’t follow me physically, please, thank you) you’ll see others retweeted, so I’m not done with Cracked magazine just yet.

I’m still disappointed that the parody comics (which I enjoyed more than Mad Magazine) aren’t being done anymore but at least the articles are not only hilarious (most of the time) but sometimes speak to the art of storytelling, which is what we like here at the spotlight. And the fact that I’ve written this far with WordPress’s Zemanta service not bringing me any Cracked pictures but plenty of Mad annoys me. Also there’s a link to Sixth Sense Publishing Releases Diaries of an Emotional Prostitute (prweb.com), which has nothing to do with anything I just wrote. Go figure. Anyway, let’s clear out some link clutter, shall we?

• 7 Comic Characters Who Outlasted the Trends That Made Them: When pop culture is your muse, you better find a way to keep the character going when the new trends hit.
• 6 Heroic Movie Deaths That Could Have Easily Been Avoided: Robert Neville. Jean Grey. Data. The Iron Giant. Joseph Fiennes. Galdalf. They all died heroically, and none of them needed to.
• The 5 Most Easily Avoidable Movie Deaths: Continuing the theme, Darth Maul, two witches, another mutant, and someone’s grandma could have lived if they had a brain.
• If Everyday Tasks Were Performed Using Wile E. Coyote Logic: This is one of those articles done by having fans Photoshop images based on the joke. I think you can figure out what they went with this time.
• 5 Absurd Ways Comic Books Have Resurrected Dead Superheroes: OK, comic fans. If I list Spider-Man, Alfred, Be Grimm (could you pick just one?), Jason Todd, and Optimus Prime (the only one on this list to die more times than Ben if you count all the continuities), would you already know what’s going to happen?
• 6 Superheroes Who Completely Lost Their $%$@: Marvel heroes going mad, you say? Not surprisingly, mutants are often involved.
