Our heroes continue some down time, but things are hopping for the various villain factions. Squidous escapes from The Exile and his mutinous Sharkmen. Meanwhile, there’s a surprise waiting for Max’s loyal branch of Dinomen at his castle and Max himself may well be getting what he wants.
What they got right: Giving the heroes some downtime give the villains a bit more of a showcase. Considering how little we know about the villains in this story that’s a good thing. Plus the race between Derek/Wheels and Erica/Pixie was fun.
What they got wrong: We STILL don’t know a lot about the villains. Outside of Max and the Dinomen we don’t know who the other two guys are or what they want. Also, the comic opens rather abruptly. This series suffers from a lack of “previously in” for fan who just find the comic.
Recommendation: Then again, you should be getting the whole series anyway.
It seems my favorite parts of this comic often involve SD shooting missiles, doesn't it?
