Bart gets to meet Morty Mann, creator of his favorite superhero, Radioactive Man, just it is announced that the character will be killed off due to low sales. Inspired by his favorite comic, Bart becomes Bartman and attempts to save it from being brought down and earning Morty the respect he deserves.
What they got right: They found a way to poke fun at the treatment of comic creators by companies who make a ton of money on their creations without giving them something to thank them. (They may not have to do something legally, but you’d think they’d consider it a moral obligation.)
What they got wrong: I though this was going to be a team-up between the two or two short stories with one each. This didn’t happen.
Recommendation: If you really want to read this story I would suggest tracking down the Simpsons comic it originally came from instead of this mini-comic reprint.
