Kind of my opinion after reading this comic.

Justice League International #7

“BREAKDOWN”

In the aftermath of the bombing Vixen may be paralyzed, Ice is in surgery, Fire is in a coma, and Rocket Red and the UN agents behind JLI are dead. This gives Chairwoman Bao all she needs to put a cease and desist order against the JLI, which gives the bombers the opening to attack Booster directly, by way of Lightweaver. However, Batwing arrives in time to help.

Forget the format, I want to know what the hell happened here. I heard about this beforehand thanks to Twitter, but this is wrong! This was a fun title. This could have been a fun title. Instead, it looks like Ice is about to be fridged (puns be damned) for Guy, Vixen may be replaced by Batwing (which I can guess was the higher-ups trying to save this character after failing with Static), and Rocket Red is killed off for no good reason. The same for Briggs and Esposito, the agents behind the forming of Justice League International. What’s the sense of making characters people care about just to kill them off? Why should we care about anybody the people in charge of DC think we should…or have I discovered the reason for the changes coming in this arc, including the ones in solicits?

Congratulations, DC Comics. Now I’m sorry I’ve been pushing this title, and the hopes I had about Jurgens bringing Superman 52 back to something I want to read is also weakened. I’ll get to that comic later this week, but for now the only issues of this comic I’m reading are the ones I’ve already ordered. That’s one or two issues to convince me to bother reading this. Looks like the New 52 will be as dead to me as the post-Infinite Crisis DC.
