And yet less trippy than Wonderland.

Mis-Adventures of Adam West #2

(I throw in the V2, but this is the ongoing series)

Bluewater Productions (January, 2012–I’m not that far behind, they are)

WRITER/COLORIST: Mauricio Pinzon
PENCILER: Luis Rivera
LETTERER: Warren Mongomery
PRODUCTION: Mary Kate Thorne
CREATORS: Adam West & Darren G. Davis

Adam, the March Hare, and the White Rabbit/Robinson are sidetracked in their pursuit of Stephens to get some food so they’ll have the strength to fight the Jabberwock. However, to pay off the March Hare’s debt to Humpty Dumpty they have to take part in a crochet match against the Knave of Hearts. Eventually our heroes fight the Jabberwock, save the girl, and crown a new Mad Hatter before Adam is whisked off to another storyline.

What they got right: Ah, the crazyness of Wonderland. How I will miss you. They even manage to fit in a tribute to the “Bat-climb” scenes with Conan O’Brien.  We don’t get to see a snark but we do get to see another Batman homage. Hoping not all the stories will do that, though. Plus, the mystery of Adam, Stevens, Robinson, and Serena continues.

What they got wrong: Anything I would put here is kind of countered by the fact they’re in Wonderland.

Recommendation: A good first arc for the ongoing, even if they forgot how the miniseries ended. Worth picking up.

Yes, that is Adam West riding a giant flying dodo. What did YOU do today?
