Peter and Miles are confronted by Mysterio’s remote control “avatar” and his usual delusions. After the battle, a freaked out Peter goes to find out what really happened to his counterpart, leading to a meeting with this world’s Aunt May & Gwen.
What they got right: I kind of like how the people are treating their Peter Parker, as a fallen hero rather than the “thank goodness he’s gone” like I expect the current 616 Marvelites would. Again, I have to praise Pichelli and Ponsor on their artwork and coloring skills.
What they got wrong: Why does the real Mysterio’s word balloons have weird spacing issues? It appears deliberate, as the Mysterio avatar and everyone else has properly aligned words. Also, why is Peter THIS freaked out? If this is the 616 version, this isn’t the weirdest experience he’s had. He’s been to other planets. He’s been to other dimensions before. He’s been to a (now alternate) future version of 2099. He shouldn’t be falling apart like this.
Recommendation: Ignore strict continuity and it’s not a bad story. Give it a look.
No moment really stood out for me enough to break out the Best Scene nomination.

Bendis is well known for forgetting past stories, even his own, so no surprise there. He’s probably more freaked by the fact he’s dead.
