Toys (film)

Ah, the noble toy. Here at BW we are fans of toys (as you may have noticed over at The Clutter Reports) because they can be fun and can be a benefit to a child’s imagination. As we get older, some look for different “toys” and I’ll just leave that line there. Some of us, however, still collection action figures whether they were designed for collectors or the current kids. And will complain that Transformers aren’t designed for adults because we are morons! And by “we” I mean the people that continue to ruin childhoods for the next generation and earn my wrath!

However, even the most innocent toy is created by toy companies and some of them are licensed off of comics and movies. Herein lies the trouble examined in 7 Action Figures That Managed To Ruin Great Characters. Some were movie spoilers but most were about giving characters that either never had faces or were supposed to keep them hidden a face that underwhelms and ends up ruining their mystique. From Doctor Doom to Doctor Claw, from the Blair Witch to the Phantasm, these toys should either have been molded or packaged differently or shouldn’t have been made at all, or at least without removable masks. Thanks for screwing up the movies, guys.

Although I don’t think anyone wanted to know what the Cloverfield monster looked like. Geez, what a disappointment.
