On Friday I had a flare-up from my Crohn’s Disease. The possible culprit is overdoing the chocolate, but whatever happened I messed up. Therefore I wasn’t able to do anything with RU or The Clutter Reports this week. I also didn’t get to draw up a new Jake & Leon strip this week. However, I still have one Sunday feature I can put together:

MacGyver: Fugitive Gauntlet #1

I think the Mythbusters have some new MacGyver myths to test soon.

As for next week, the flare-up had at least one bit of good timing. While I was supposed to work Saturday, this week I’m on vacation. I was planning to just have the daily comic reviews and take a break from the nightly article so I can rest and get a few things done…including the convention videos I’ve fallen behind on. Since I wasn’t able to get my comics this week, I won’t even be doing that, so BW is taking a full week break, which is probably for the best. Well, not FULL week, as I still plan to have a Friday Night Fight entry, but otherwise nothing until Sunday. Here’s a sneak preview of what I have planned, though:

• Further news came out about the new Masters of the Universe movie. Obviously I have to say something about that.
• During my sick time I saw the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon from Nickelodeon. Plan to have a review and something to say about the Twitter controversy.
• Someone sent me a link to his self-published superhero comic. Yes, apparently I’m worthy of stuff like this, but while I don’t give indy-publishers the same flack I do with the big guys who get tons o’ cash to destroy childhood and cultural icons I will give it a fair judgement. Saw a quick preview and it looks promising.
• I don’t usually “do” Halloween, but the next installment of Captain PSA that’s been delayed for a while will be perfect for the occasion so I’m going to try and work on it before then.

In the meantime I have long overdue cleaning because I haven’t had a real vacation since last year, thanks to the new owner shake-up. (Should have taken that vacation in February like I thought.) Plus I have to complete the reinstall and organization of my computer stuff all while getting over this flare-up. I’ll still be bopping around Twitter if you want to hear my ramblings.
