The assassin in the hotel room turns out to not be a threat and Mac learns who has a price on his head. Together, MacGyver and Kari (with a little help from Pete) avoid Crazy Ace again and make it to Moscow, where our heroes meet up with Kari’s brother…and the local authorities.
What they got right: Even though we don’t get to see Pete, he’s finally part of the story. The identity of the man who put the price on MacGyver’s head makes that subplot work in the story rather than being an unnecessary addition.
What they got wrong: I don’t have any complaints.
Recommendation: Fans of MacGyver who haven’t been picking up this series thus far should correct that, as well as fans of a good action story.
That’s OK, the in-flight movie is “Twilight”.
