This is how my childhood feels after reading Furman’s Transformers…under assault.

Scorponok continues to take down or brainwash Autobots. Underneath the surface Hot Rod is chased down by those creatures Hi-Q/Optimus and the Dinobots dealt with in Marvel US #76, “Still Life”. In space, Soundwave learns Bludgeon’s plans for Thunderwing’s remains. Back on Earth, Galvatron plans to launch the Ark.
OK, let us look at each story individually. Yes, we’re off format but my format wasn’t prepared for this level of fail.
- Hey someone remembered Overdrive the Omnibot exists. Too bad it was this comic. I don’t understand why Scorponok didn’t use his “gene key” on Grimlock. You know he’s going to turn on him before this arc ends. How can you be this stupid? They also handwave Scorponok’s resurrection.
- Is Hot Rod/Rodiums Prime a pet character Furman couldn’t figure out how to bring into US continuity? Apparently Hot Rod has the same life signature or something as Primus and if you see how Primus was designed in the Marvel (US & UK) continuities he has the same back fin as Hot Rod(imus). I’m going to hate this even more soon, aren’t I?
- So Bludgeon is so obsessed with the Ultimate Warrior that he’s made a bunch of drones that he wants to bring to life. This is just sad.
- Does anybody care what Galvatron and Starscream is doing at this point? Oh, and apparently Megatron made Shockwave into the new Ark computer while posting Auntie elsewhere. I didn’t realize Furman hated Megatron as much as DC’s writers seem to with the Joker. Sadistic SOB isn’t how they used to be subscribed…until now. Sure, Megatron only cared about himself and cared little about his troops. That was part of my defense of Cy-Kill back in the Challenge of the GoBots video, but for crying out loud!
So as you can guess I don’t recommend this comic to anyone. It saddens me that this is an ongoing series instead of Transformers Prime: Rise of the Dinobots. Can we give THOSE writers an ongoing? Please?

it`s official,simon and his crew don`t know what they are doing with this comic,it gets worse every issue,he won`t even respond to my questions on his site,but those that kiss the ground he walks on he does.sorry simon you had the chance and you blew it big time.
