Called to help Ice Man at the research station. Roll has the crazy idea to hook up Mega Man and Quake Woman. However, Tempo (Quake Woman’s other name) has other concerns besides love, but Ice Man…well, you see the cover. Meanwhile. Agent Krantz’s date stands her up so Stern volunteer to joins her for dinner…and regrets it when he ends up in a debate with Light and LaLinde, who had planned a romantic evening. Have you guessed yet this is a Valentines Day story?
I wasn’t personally invested in Roll’s ill-fated attempt to play matchmaker. It did lead to some development of Quake Woman’s character. So I can’t really say this comic did anything wrong. What it also did was work alongside Stern’s debate with Doctor Light, no if robots are capable of love but should they be, as well as his worries that Light, LaLinde, and other roboticists in this level of robotics may not be thinking of the negative consequences alongside the benefits. Regardless of who you end up agreeing with it’s a rather fascinating story. In an all-ages comic that leans to the younger demographic. TAKE THAT, HATERS!
I don’t care about what the robots are up to this issue, but I do like the debate, since both sides are likable, decent characters. It’s definitely worth picking up.
