Godzilla #10

“You STILL think that wood sculpture of me was funny?”

Godzilla #10

IDW Publishing (February, 2013)

“His Whole Life Was A Million-To-One Shot”
(He’s just grabbing movie trailer lines, isn’t he?)
WRITER: Duane Swierczynski
ARTIST: Simon Gane
COLORIST: Ronda Pattison
SELECTED COVER ART: Bob Eggleton
LETTERER/CREATIVE CONSULTANT: Chris Mowry
EDITOR: Bobby Curnow

As the space monster continue their rampage, only Mothra and Rodan are free to stop them, and they can only do so much. Then Godzilla arrives to join the fight. Meanwhile, Boxer and Harrison try to help in their own ways.

What they got right: The monster fights were real good, and the humans actually did something that helps and is surprisingly believable. No action hero cliches that requires them do something that shouldn’t happen in a kaiju story.

What they got wrong: I’m happy to report that I can’t think of anything.

Recommendation: Monsters taking sides. I’ve been wanting to see this for a while. Will it lead to kaiju/human co-operation? Probably not but I can’t wait to see how this ends. Worth picking up.

Gigan can't seem to get a break, can he?
