{continued from Sonic The Hedgehog #248) Sonic and Mega Man continue to battle, only this time in Mega City. But it isn’t long before the heroes are comparing notes and rescuing Tails from his robotic state. So the villains target Dr. Light, hoping to hold our team back, but don’t underestimate our heroes. (continued in Sonic Universe #52)
What they got right: Getting to see Mega Man working with ALL his famous support units (Eddie, Rush, Beat, and Tango) was cool to see even if it will be a while before we see it in regular continuity (and if the Game Boy games are getting adapted too, and I hope they are). And then we end the traditional heroes fight each other, so now we get to the hero team-up. I like watching Mega Man and Sonic teaming up to stop/save Tails.
What they got wrong: I’m unclear. Proto Man says they should bring Rush with them, but the last few panels seem to indicate they didn’t. The last time we see Rush it looks like Mega’s saying goodbye. Also, maybe they should have waited on the crossover. It seems an odd thing to do for Mega Man’s 25 issue, even if they do more to celebrate than DC did for Superman’s 75 anniversary.
Recommendation: A great crossover that you should already have been picking up.
