Didn’t I see this in a Myazaki film once?

Clara may have just arrived in this strange place, but the Doctor has been here for three years, helping the American soldiers and dealing with a bunch of badniks also in this strange zone. But the Doctor may have realized where they all are and using the A-Bomb as a power source confirm it…they’re still in the TARDIS!
Right or wrong with this story all fits in one paragraph. There are some good ideas here. The tech, the villains, the surprise location. The problem is…I’m bored by all of it. The Doctor has his manic personality but that isn’t enough to carry this story. I’m just not finding myself drawn into the story once I get beyond the concept, which also can’t carry the story enough to make me invested in it. It’s a shame really.
Recommendation: Unless something more exciting happens in the next two issues I would have to say take a pass on the whole arc. The idea is good but the execution, while not bad exactly, doesn’t really excite. No Best Scene here, either.
