(continued from Mega Man #26) Our heroes take on Rose Woman and Knuckles Man. As Wily and Eggman’s plans fall to pieces they prepare to betray the other to escape but they may have another chance thanks to their giant robot, a captured Rouge, and merging the Yellow Devil and the Chaos monster! (continues in Sonic The Hedgehog #250)
What they got right: There isn’t much to add that I haven’t said about this team-up already. I like how they come up with powers based on Sonic’s friends. The story is really good, and Yardley and Austin are improving on their Mega Man character models.
What they got wrong: The cover promised Sonic and Mega Man fighting merged Devil/Chaos monster, officially named Chaos Devil, but it was more like Bass and Metal Sonic…which was cool to see but not what’s on the cover.
Recommendation: This continues to be a great crossover that fans of both series, be it the comics or the games, should be picking up.
They’re a strange couple, aren’t they?
