While meditating, Leonardo is remembering his pre-Turtle mother as he tells her that something is missing. Then he and the Shredder take down the Savate. Meanwhile, the other Turtles go to their friends for help in finding Leonardo, and Splinter reluctantly helps Old Hob to secure his aid.
What they got right: There’s still a part of Leo fighting and this is a different way to get him. Curai continues to fascinate me. But what I like best in this issue is seeing the Turtles reaching out to the friends they’ve made in this new continuity (except for the Neutrinos but that would be difficult). I didn’t get the Hun miniseries but it looks like that might keep the Dragons out of action, but Angel is still in, as well as Donatello’s scientist friend from his one shot (reviewed here) and Michelangelo even gets his bud back. It shows that the Turtles are not alone in their struggles, even if Casey is laid up at the moment.
What they got wrong: I can’t think of anything. I’m really enjoying this arc.
Recommendation: This is one of the comics I plan to keep following. I really enjoy it. It’s a worthy addition to the Ninja Turtle multiverse.

I don’t know if this is actually Tang Shen’s spirit or just Leo’s true self finding a way to fight back, but I like it.
