Star Trek reboot

Every now and then a movie poster sneaks out with something cool, but today’s posters, like comic covers and a lot of novels I see now that I think about it, are kind of weak. Nate Winchester pointed me to a video discussing the failing of movie posters by Good Bad Flicks contributor Cecil which led to this article by The Furious D Show answering Nate’s question as to why. After all, creative fans have put together better stuff on Cracked‘s “Photoplasty” contests. the answers make sense, and I wonder if that explains how bland a lot of comic covers have been, or at least why the New 52’s logos are so uninteresting.
