Sho and Mizuki hide in a cave and try to figure out why Sho can’t bio-boost. Mizuki only knows that Sho went to rescue his father, which begins to trigger Sho’s memories. Then they’re found by “Agito”, who is actually the Lost Number Atom, capable of shapeshifting. He fills in the rest of Sho’s story (nice of him to add that neither Sho nor his dad were in their right mind) and threatens Mizuki to force Sho to bypass his current psychological block because the Guyver makes for better prey than a high-school student.
What they got right: I guess this catches up anyone who missed the previous installment or two, at least in Japan. I do like seeing Sho take the initiative and try to figure out what’s up with his powers.
What they got wrong: He only took off his shirt to show you the things on his back were still there Mizuki. You’re acting like he got naked in front of you. Geez, girl! You’ve seen him shirtless before!
Recommendation: If you’re collecting them this way the issue has importance. If you’ve been collecting all along and, at least at this part, getting the single issues instead of the trade this might be helpful. Otherwise, it’s catch-up and set-up.
