In our first tale, Benton has designed a hologram machine for movies based on Questworld, but someone wants to steal it.

What they got right: While I saw the twist coming it was still told well and the art was pretty good.

What they got wrong: Another story where Jonny is smarter than everyone. I know it’s his comic but the others aren’t useless.

The second story involves, if my frustrating attempts to track down the origins was right, Race’s double from the classic series episode “Double Danger“. Dr. Quest’s old nemesis, Doctor Zin (who did pop up in the new series at least once), had trained him to “become” Race but it seems he did too good a job, arriving at the old Quest island base and believing he actually IS Race Bannon. When the real Race and Jonny just happen to be dropping by, one secret points to whom the real Race is, and the double runs off, traveling the world doing good deeds.

What they got right: A good nod to the classic series and it is a good concept.

What they got wrong: One that could have been better with a full story. using Jessie as a way to tell the two apart was a good idea, but have her visiting her mother and bring her in at the end. I can think of a few different ways this story could have worked at least as a full issue.

Recommendation: Not a must-have issue but a decent one if you want to gather the whole series.
