As you can tell I missed Part 5 #1 and any other issues of part 4. However, it seems Sho and Mitzuki have found the real Agito is still alive, as are all their friends hiding in a lab at Relics Point. There we learn the fate of Murakami and the beginning of how he got that way.
What they got right: Not killing off so much of their supporting cast was certainly a positive. We also get to see what happened to everybody.
What they got wrong: This is a typical Japanese trope; having something happen and then keeping us in the dark for too long about what happened. Sometimes we use this in the West but sparingly. Japan spams the daylights out of this style and it bothers me. It’s why I didn’t watch the first season of Digimon until later in the run and only then went back and watched the reruns of the early episodes.
Recommendation: The recommendations are hard to write for this format but getting the trades is recommended.
