Nick’s releasing the dinosaurs and accidentally causing a stampede wasn’t enough. He also rescues the baby T-Rex, and then brings him into their camp to heal his leg, thus luring the T-Rex to him and making matters worse. Again. They have to get help from the Ingen hunting party, then Nick empties their guns so that when the T-Rex follows the sent of the baby’s blood on Sarah’s outfit there’s no way to defend themselves. Just how stupid is this guy?

What they got right: The art is still pretty good. You get a sense of the threat the dinosaurs represent. Also, there are quick additions to character personalities like Sarah’s fear of heights. I don’t remember if the book or movie brought that up but they put it in without slowing down the story.

What they got wrong: Reading through this comic again shows me just how stupid these people are written in this tale. Even when the realize some things they forget others (like the blood on Sarah’s shirt). They have to try hard to be this dumb. At least the people in the first movie had an excuse thanks to sabotage and not having someone with proof they were doing something stupid until it was too late. The villains are smarter than the heroes.

Recommendation: I still point towards the movie but the comic isn’t bad if you come across it and really want it.
