Christian media has made some good roads in music and comics, embracing the fact that a little darkness doesn’t hurt the message but for some people and stories can actually help. It’s all about the needs of the stories. While “dark” doesn’t make a story better, it doesn’t make it un-Christian, either. Acculturated contributor R,J, Moeller makes the case that Christian movies may be playing it a bit too safe, thus preaching to the choir instead of getting the message of God’s love to the masses.
