It’s an all-out fight between Aptom and the Zoanoids around the base. It’s here that Aptom shows off a new power to defeat Zektoll, namely the ability to create a second body for himself if he has absorbed enough mass. With Zektoll’s powers added to his own he prepares to for his next confrontation with Alkanphel, still determined to absorb his power as well.
What they got right: This is all action as Aptom takes out the rest of the Zoanoids in Chronos base (at least that’s what I think they indicated). It was well drawn and action-packed.
What they got wrong: How many other abilities does Aptom have anyway? It’s like they’re setting him up to die to show how powerful Alkanphel. Also, there are TWO double splash pages that’s just exploding light going toward the “camera”. I wouldn’t think they needed to pad out the comic in the original format. If he was trying to show how powerful the attack is, did they need two double splash pages to do it? It’s space wasted.
Recommendation: Part 6 is finally getting some action. I still recommend getting this series in the trade format.
