Batman/Superman #9

(continued from Worlds’ Finest #20) As Power Girl and Batman fight Kaizen’s clone army Superman and Huntress receive a little help from Toymaster, a suit of armor that will help him block the nanites and still use his powers. Plus Superman and Batman begin to remember a trip to Earth 2 and begin wondering if Power Girl and Huntress are better off here. (concludes in Worlds’ Finest #21)
What they got right: The team-up is still a good idea and Huntress and Superman work together well enough while Batman doesn’t like working with anyone and…let’s face it. Batman 52 is a jerk and that’s on display here as the girls call him out on being a jerk.
What they got wrong: Batman 52 is still a jerk. Also, I know the armor was supposed to be for an abandoned theme park in space but the helmet still looks silly an they’re trying to make us think what Superman 52 wears now isn’t armor? But my biggest issue is the art. I still think it looks terrible even for the painted art style. I hated his work in Transformers/G.I. Joe and I think he got worse by this issue.
Recommendation: I like the story but the art makes it hard to recommend. It’s that ugly, which is why I have nothing for Best Scene.
