Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #35

Slash takes Foosball very seriously.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #35

IDW (June, 2014)

STORY: Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, & Tom Watlz
WRITER: Tom Waltz
ARTISTS: Mateus Santolouco & Mike Henderson
COLORIST: Ron Pattison
LETTERER: Shawn Lee
EDITOR: Bobby Curnow

Raphael and Michelangelo meet the scientist Old Hob kidnapped to build his mutant army, starting with a rather dumb pigeon. Hob also has a sample of Splinter’s blood and it may nor may not be good news for Slash. Meanwhile, Hun attacks Casey, and nobody can save him. Sorry, I meant Nobody can save him. In the lair, Leonardo and Splinter have some uninvited guests.

What they got right: Slash actually has character development. The fights looked good as usual.

What they got wrong: Casey doesn’t call Hun out for bashing his mother, Hun’s dead wife. Pete the Pigeon’s one gag got old real quick.

Recommendation: Still enjoying this new take on the Turtles. It’s worth checking out.
