Superman & Bugs Bunny #4
FINAL ISSUE
DC Comics (October, 2000)
“Cwisis On Infinite Earths” WRITER: Mark Evanier LAYOUTS: Joe Staton FINISHERS: Tom Palmer & Mike DeCarlo COLORIST: Trish Mulvihill SEPARATIONS: Digital Chameleon LETTERER: Phil Felix EDITOR: Joey CavalieriAs the Justice League and Looney Tunes deal with Toyman’s mechanical menaces, Bat-Daffy comes across the villain himself, just as Mxyzptlk and Do-Do plot to merge the two worlds. Bugs is able to trick the imp back home, but the Do-Do opts not to merge the worlds and hang out in the DC Universe for a while and sends everyone back to their worlds. Sadly except for Michigan J. Frog, who accidentally ends up in Perry’s hands. That won’t end well.
What they got right: This was just fun, seeing how the Looney Tunes use their unique talents alongside the Justice League’s skills (my favorite was Foghorn’s plan to have Green Arrow launch Pepe into a tank).
What they got wrong: I still hate the dancing frog stuff. You’d think one of them knew about the old cartoon. I even read there was a sequel that I hope never to see. I hated the first one.
Recommendation: If you like the concept of this team-up then you won’t be disappointed by gathering all four issues.
