Did you ever hear of Roger Corman’s take on the Fantastic Four. It was at about the same budget as a modern fanfilm that was only intended to insure a studio could keep the movie rights even if the movie was never intended for release. You can find bootlegs of the film. It’s kind of crap, but Cracked contributor E. Reid Ross make the case that it’s better than the two big theatrical FF movies and already a better Fantastic Four movie than the one about to come out. That’s because it’s actually a better translation of the comic.
