She’s on there someplace.
I must really be out of things lately. I only just heard about CW Seed, a digital-exclusive art of The CW. Apparently taking a cue from Marvel’s exclusive shows with Netflix, The CW is adding a show to their digital site that will take place in the CW DCU alongside Green Arrow and The Flash. It will be an animated series staring Vixen, a character almost nobody has heard of outside of Justice League Unlimited whose biggest contribution was a love triangle with Green Lantern John Stewart against Hawkgirl. She also died or was comatose or something when I dropped Justice League International New 52 edition (that being one of the reasons…the second arc really didn’t live up to the first one). Heck, she didn’t even show up in the service I use to find stock footage, and there was a shot of Fire from JLU. FIRE! Who bloody knows who Fire is?I only know who she is because of a DC Who’s Who entry and appearing the Armageddon annual for Justice League.
KSite TV‘s Craig Byrne has more on this new series. My question is whether or not she’ll pop up on the live-action show or if the same actors will voice their counterparts in a guest appearance or crossover? Also, this is how you bring good black characters to the foreground…by putting them there instead of changing somebody everyone knows. Superhero productions need more heroes of color and to actually do something with the ones they have.
