Okay, Marvel. We get it. You hate the fact that Peter Parker was ever married. You won. The Spider-Marriage is out of continuity (in the most insulting way possible to both Peter and Mary Jane). Do you have to keep rubbing our noses in it? Apparently you do, if Douglas Ernst’s review of The Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows is any indication. It’s a story that makes Peter’s married life terrible instead of enjoyable. What do modern comic writers have against marriage?
