In a flashback we see Shockwave’s meeting with Scourge while in the present we see that he has Alpha Trion prisoner. As to where Scourge is now, the Autobots on Earth can’t find a trace of him because some military group has him. Back on Cybertron, Ultra Magnus trying to convince the council (for fans this includes Skids, Inferno, and I think Red Alert but the fourth one we only see a shoulder of in this comic) that Shockwave’s tactics (including publicly trashing Optimus’ group and his questionable method of powering Cybertronians) need to be investigated is interrupted by Shockwave sending Rumble and Frenzy to awaken the Stunticons, which Starscream decides to drop in on. As Ultra Magnus and the Wreckers deal with the Stunticons the Dinobots, having crashed their shuttle on Cybertron and disposed of Octane, get loose in Iacon. Sandstorm and Broadside use the opportunity to break the Autobots out of prison, with Sandstorm taking Optimus somewhere else before they’re ambushed by a Battlecharger (with the lighting I can’t tell if it’s Runabout or Runamuck, but my guess is Runabout), who is in turn ambushed by a Sharkticon!

What they got right: There’s the right mix of mystery and action in this issue. I like that Octane’s tank resembles one of Sixshot’s alt modes.

What they got wrong: The human subplot looks like it will be pointless. There are also more dialog missing near the end of the book.

Recommendation: Still enjoying the story. Pick this one up.
