Is it too late for DLC for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions?

It’s something I’ve written about before. I’m all for creating new characters and building the world out, but altering characters to fit someone else’s social/political/spiritual perspective or just to fit your story is a slap in the face to long term fans. Create NEW characters and expand the universe. I found a surprisingly similar voice out of the liberal side in this post from Alyssa Rossenberg of The Washington Post. Her angle, though, is that it’s a cop-out to not make characters who aren’t straight white dudes.
