CBR is reporting that the 15 year old black girl will not be calling herself Iron Man when she takes over the comic, or any other gender version of the name. Instead she will be her own superhero, Ironheart. Yes, create NEW heroes to appeal to those who don’t have a hero they can point to as “like them”. Build the universe, don’t toss names around willy nilly. Now make her a good character and sneak her into a future Iron Man movie and you may have a hit here. We’ll be waiting for the Ms. Marvel team-up. I also like the name but I hope she gets to come up with an original not-Iron Man looking armor of her own and really have her own superhero identity.
