Excellent post. I’m guessing my art soundoff is one of those you’re responding to so i just wanted to add to what I said in that post a little addendum.
I totally agree that we just need fun stories a lot of the time & I have no desire to make everything I do messaged or political. That would be intensely dull & crazy making.
My real point was if you have something to say that can be expressed in a way that can move, then don’t be afraid to say it.
Likewise if you can bring more Skeletors, Mumm-Ra’s & Duffenschmirtz’s into my life or if any come from me then I would be a very happy boy.
Even with audio & video it can be hard to fully communicate what we mean on-line. It’s just one of those ironies of mixing technology & people I think.

We actually agree. My point was that a number of the critics in the community I’m part of think that unless you have deep character development, a cynical view…look how may people think Man Of Steel is the best take on Superman! I don’t want to do deep character studies or think “flawed” means being a jerk. I just want to help people relax and see the bad guys beaten without some revenge fantasy being in play.
