Starscream forges a new alliance with a human looking to advance science (for profit of course…Swindle would love him). He also sends Ravage to track down Tobias but it’s Mark Twain who actually stops him. Now convinced the Decepticons are real, Tobias’ backer informs the army, but the ‘Cons have left. The Autobots go to pursue, and John Henry and his team volunteer to join them. Meanwhile, what do the Decepticons plan for New York?
What they got right: The Autobots working with humans almost immediately? Still not the military or whatever, so time will tell if they gain allies beyond these three. John Henry made friends quickly because even he can tell Bumblebee is awesome! Dixon also used Squawkbox as one of the Decepticons. Who knows who Squawkbox is? Nice use of a more obscure character instead of sticking with the usual suspects.
What they got wrong: Mark Twain seems to be enjoying himself like he’s David Tennant’s version of the Doctor. It was kind of odd to see. I also want to see more of these retro-train alt modes and bot designs.
Recommendation: It’s too bad IDW never did one of these again because so far it’s interesting. Next week is the conclusion.

I like the concept of Transformers battling it out in different time periods of Earth’s history. Imagine a Transformer that can change into a Viking long ship or one of the huge ships from China’s fleet headed by Admiral Zheng He in 1421. Decepticons would be assisting the Vikings in raiding the shores of Ireland. On the other hand, Autobots would be protecting the innocent civilians and monks of the Emerald Isle. Now that would be quite a tale!

In fact, that’s a comic story you should create, Shadow Wing Tronix!
