Anime fans in America don’t usually get to see anime movies in the US unless the show has gone mainstream, like Yu-Gi-Oh or Digimon, and they’re usually altered to match the TV dub that’s reaching out to a general audience (to the annoyance of the purists because heaven forbid someone now buried in Japanese culture and history get to enjoy something, which Japan neeeeeeeever does to our shows despite their own US purists). Well, you don’t have to wait for you favorite convention to rent a theater or break out a DVD projector to see anime on the big screen…or at least four offerings in April, according to ICv2. Crunchyroll, the anime streaming site is partnering with others to make it happen. No word yet on what’s on the schedule though.
