What happens when some of the greatest police officers of 1970s television–Baretta, Columbo (and the ill-conceived spin-off featuring his wife that was pushed out of canon gets a nod), Kojak, Starsky & Hutch, Ironside, McCloud, and Police Woman–team up to stop a madman trying to kill them? Beats me; these were parodies of those shows. But while having knowledge of these characters might make the show better–except for what they did to Angie Dickenson’s character; seriously, what the hell, guys?–you might still get some fun out of a group of bumbling detectives trying to outwit the Man In White before they’re all killed one by one.
Murder Can Hurt You! is a 1980 made-for-TV movie. It shares a concept with the 1976 theatrical movie Murder By Death except the latter used mystery novel detectives instead of police show detectives.

I don’t believe the show was ever released on home video, which is odd considering the shows they parody are available on DVD.
