I confuse easy so somebody explain this to me. Boom Studios was doing an excellent job with the Disney Afternoon comics they were making, but rather than expand on that Disney moved them and the Muppets to Marvel to continue it in-house. And then after the final Muppets miniseries failed to do nothing with any of them. Now I’m learning IDW did a Ducktales comic based on the recent reboot, with a collection coming out for the holidays. What was the point?

Boom’s Disney comics ended ages ago. It’s logical that now Disney will start a new comic based on the new show
Anyway, the Boom comic didn’t have a good reception, expecially issue #3. And the crossover with Darkwing, well, the only good thing was the art. But Darkwing and Rescue Rangers were doing great

I didn’t read the Boom Ducktales either outside of the crossover but Darkwing Duck and The Muppet Show were two comics I looked forward to every week and I never heard a bad thing about. Plus they had other Disney comics as well. But the reason given for not renewing those licenses was that Disney wanted to do everything in-house via Marvel. And outside of a remaining Muppets miniseries and the Tron tie-ins I have seen little to no Disney from Marvel since the move.
