Maybe the problem with Ridley Scott’s recent movies in the Alien franchise is that he isn’t interested in the xenomorphs anymore. This interview in Entertainment Weekly seems to indicate he’s found a new threat: artificial intelligence. Sure, it’s been done before, including Scott’s other hit, Blade Runner, but if that’s what he’s interested in maybe he should move into that and create a new franchise while letting people interested in continuing the Alien series have a go. Provided they can drive the train back on the tracks it was off of even before Prometheus according to the vocal members of the fanbase. Remember, I’m not usually into horror, even if it’s sci-fi horror.
