Word came out yesterday that the Queen Of Soul, Aretha Franklin, passed away at 76 years old due to pancreatic cancer. Our prayers and well wishes go to her family and friends.

BW Media Spotlight 
This is one of the few pieces of American news that I heard while I was in Canada’s Quebec Province. I heard about Aretha’s passing when I was staying all the way up in Gaspe while watching a Canadian news show one night. Also, I had been aware of her health worsening due to seeing Canada’s version of Entertainment Tonight (yes, Canada has Entertainment Tonight, but with different hosts and reporters!). Thank you for the soulful tunes, Ms. Franklin. Rest in peace and thank you for your musical contributions and other contributions to the world.
